About Stokes Creek, LLC FarmThe farm was purchased in 2006 as a place to keep our horses by Steven Pelham and Deborah Strauss. From its humble beginnings with 3 horses (Kimmie, Treasure and Captn), 3 standard poodles (Calboy, Hanna and Sugar), 1 barn cat (Nell), 1 labrador retriever (Max), and 1 bull dog (Dude), the farm has grown over the years. In 2009, Stokes Creek, LLC was incorprorated with the idea of selling farm fresh eggs and natural body products. |
The farm consists of approximately 15 acres, a large brick rancher home, barn, stream, pond, run in sheds, and lots of animals. One of the first projects once the farm was purchased, was to replace the old tin roof on the barn with a modern ashphalt shingle roof. Since that initial project, many other upgrades have been performed, including fencing in areas for the goats, a gravity fed water trough for the horses, and new run in shed.
Steven is the owner of Stokes Creek, LLC Farm. In addition to working the farm, he is also a Senior Software Engineer for the Food and Drug Administration. He is a graduate of the Kenny Harlow Apprentichip program (2006) for handling horses
Deborah is the force behind Stokes Creek, LLC. Her tireless efforts to constantly improve and expand the farm can be seen in all of the activities we offer at the farm. Her LPN background has helped in many ways in the many births we have experienced on the farm.
Sharon joined us at the farm in 2007 and has been a much welcomed partner in all of our operations. Sharon is a tireless worker and loves to spend time with the ducks and chickens, many of whom she has almost personally hand raised.
